What you do with it
You assemble a program out of video, images, text, a clock and an RSS window, arrange them on a canvas that matches the screen pixel size, then publish. There are two ways out: export to USB for a site with no network, or push over LAN when the player sits on the same subnet. Scheduling runs by day and by week, so a shop can loop one playlist from 9 a.m. and swap to a second one at 8 p.m. without anyone touching the screen.
Which players it drives
The standalone player boxes in our LED range: HD-A3, A4, A5 and A6, the A3L / A4L / A5L / A6L revisions, and the HD-H6, H8, H16 and H20. If the label on the box shows one of those, 7.11.x is the branch you want. Boards built before 2020 usually will not answer the 7.11 branch and need 7.4.x or 5.3.x instead.
Before the first install
Windows 7 SP1 or later, 64-bit preferred. Run the installer as administrator and reboot once. Close any other LED tool before you open this one — two versions writing to the same USB driver is the single most common cause of "device not found", and it looks like a hardware fault when it is not. Use a short cable straight into the PC; a hub or an unpowered extension is the second most common cause.
Which version to install
7.11.51.0 for anything new or when you are rebuilding a controller. Drop to 7.11.18.0 if 7.11.51.0 refuses your controller model. Use 7.4.40.0 or 5.3.102.0 only for boards from before 2020. Keep one version per site: a project that mixes builds ends up with different font metrics and animation timing on screens that are supposed to look identical.
When the player is not detected
Check three things in order. First the USB driver — if the device shows up in Device Manager with a warning mark, reinstall the driver rather than the software. Second, the screen type set inside the project: synchronous and asynchronous are different toolchains. Third, the version branch. If all three are right and it still will not connect, export the program to USB and let the player run it; that path does not need a PC at the screen at all, which is often the fastest way out of a site.

These are the manufacturer installers, mirrored unchanged for our customers. Version notes follow the vendor release notes. Do not flash firmware on a screen that is running a live campaign without a backup of the current program.
